Liven Up Lunch: Basil Pesto Caprese Sandwich

Serves 2



  • 1 loaf sourdough, fresh
  • 1 ball Mozzarella, torn into bitesize pieces
  • 2 large tomatoes, sliced
  • ½ jar Sacla’ Classic Basil Pesto
  • 1 handful basil leaves, to garnish
  • Olive oil


  1. Cut the sourdough into slices 
  2. Lay tomatoes and mozzarella on top and spoon over Classic Basil Pesto
  3. Scatter with fresh basil leaves and a little olive oil
  4. Cut into wedges and grill for a few minutes to have them hot
