Ingredients: 1 loaf sourdough, fresh; 1 ball Mozzarella, torn into bitesize pieces; 2 large tomatoes, sliced; ½ jar Sacla’ Classic Basil Pesto; 1 handful basil leaves, to garnish; Extra virgin olive oil

Liven up lunch with this tasty sandwich, which proudly shows the colours of the Italian flag. A generous smear of Sacla' Classic Pesto adds salty, herby and garlicky flavour to the juicy tomatoes, creamy Mozzarella and punchy fresh basil leaves.

Ingredients

1 loaf sourdough, fresh
1 ball Mozzarella, torn into bitesize pieces
2 large tomatoes, sliced
½ jar Sacla’ Classic Basil Pesto
1 handful basil leaves, to garnish
Extra virgin olive oil

How to make the recipe

Step 1

Cut the sourdough into slices

Step 2

Lay tomatoes and mozzarella on top and spoon over Classic Basil Pesto

Step 3

Scatter with fresh basil leaves and a little extra virgin olive oil

Step 4

Cut into wedges and grill for a few minutes to have them hot
