Sacla' Pesto Recall
Customer health and safety is always our number one priority. In December 2019, when we became aware that cashew nuts used in some of our pesto recipes, sent to us by an external supplier, may contain traces of peanuts, we urgently recalled every batch of every implicated pesto sauce.
We launched a full and in-depth investigation into the incident, to understand how these cashew nut supplies could have been contaminated and how we can be sure that it can never happen again.
While this investigation continues, we took immediate steps to update the labels of the implicated products, to make it clear that they are currently not suitable for nut and peanut allergy sufferers. You will see Sacla’ Pesto has now returned to the shelves with clear new labelling.
We will continue to share further details about the results of our investigation as soon as we can, and we apologise again for any distress and inconvenience caused by this incident.

Looking to Order
Browse the website and add the products you want to buy to your basket. There is no minimum spend so you can buy just what you want to. Once you have chosen your products, press “Proceed to Checkout”;
If you are sending a gift you can add a special message at this point. Add the delivery address. Making sure it is right so that our driver or courier can find you easily (apartment number, name on door phone etc.)
Choose your payment method (credit or debit card or Apple Pay). Add a promotional code if you have one. Then “Continue to Payment Details”; Check your order summary and confirm and leave the rest to us!

We will do our best to amend any order if it has not already been marked as dispatched. You can send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with your order number and the products you want to add or amend.

You can buy any quantity of product from us, there is no minimum order amount.
Free Delivery for Mainland GB orders over £35. Any Mainland GB orders are dispatched within 3-5 days and any orders over £35 are delivered free of charge if delivered within Mailand GB. Any orders under £35 will be charged at £5.
Deliveries to Scottish Islands, Northern Ireland, Ireland, Isle of Man and Guernsey;
Orders delivered to the Scottish Islands and Northern Ireland are charged at £15 for orders up to £100 and free on orders over £100.
Orders delivered to Ireland are charged at £18 for orders up to £100 and free on orders over £100.
Orders delivered to Isle of Man and Guernsey are charged at £17 for orders up to £100 and free on orders over £100.
We will deliver your order via DPD.
We ship within the UK, and you can select your delivery region at the checkout. If this does not work for you please do get in touch at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will do our best to help you.
For all orders delivered to the Scottish Highlands, Channel Islands, Northern Ireland, Isle of Man, Guernsey and Ireland will take slightly longer to be delivered.
We will deliver your order within 3-5 days providing you place your order order by 12pm. For example, any order placed at 11.30 on a Saturday, will be delivered within 305 days.
All orders are dispatched by DPD and full tracking information is supplied within your dispatch email.
We ship within Mainland UK (this does not include Northern Ireland, The Scottish Highlands and Islands, The Isle of Man, The Channel Islands or the Isles of Scilly). If this does not work for you please do get in touch at email@example.com and we will do our best to help you.
DPD are our preferred delivery partner.
Once your order is despatched, we’ll email you with a tracking number so that you can follow your order online with our courier.
We can’t exchange or refund any consumable items, personalised items or special orders, except where the item is faulty. Contact us on firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll do our best to help you.
Personalised products cannot be returned and are non-refundable. We can only exchange or refund if the message is incorrect due to an error on our part. If this is the case, then please contact us at email@example.com and we’ll do everything we can to resolve the problem.
We do not currently have any facility for you to order over the telephone. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org. During office hours and we’ll do our best to help you.
We offer a gift wrapping service which is £3.00 per order or free for individual items over £100.
If you have received your order with something missing, please contact us straight away (email@example.com) with the details so we can investigate it for you.
Please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org stating your order number and detailing the missing or damaged products. If your products are damaged please send photos too. Your refund will be made to the card that was used to purchase the products.

We take our responsibilities towards our environment seriously, doing our bit whenever and wherever possible.
When it comes to recycling, Sacla’ glass jars are fully recyclable, as are our lids, paper labels and trays.
We recently launched Pesto Pots to help minimise waste when a jar is just too big for single households or when convenience is paramount. These plastic pots are not always recyclable, depending on where in the country you live and your local council’s capability.
So if you aren’t able to recycle the pots, try re-using them instead. They make great snack pots, leftover pots, dressing pots, spice pots, salt and pepper pots, anything goes pots. And outside the kitchen how about seedling pots, paint tester pots, stationery pots and even jewellery pots.
