Goat's Cheese & Pesto Plait
Using our Sacla’ Sun-Dried Tomato Pesto and Antipasti Roasted Peppers, the filling for these impressive savoury pastries is super easy. And with ready-made puff, you can have them on the table in no time, wowing guests as you go.

Ingredients

  • 1 pack Jus-Rol Ready Rolled Puff Pastry
  • Flour
  • 1 jar Sacla’ Sun-Dried Tomato Pesto
  • 100g antipasti roasted peppers, drained
  • 100g goat's cheese, crumbled
  • Salt & black pepper to taste
  • 1 egg, beaten

How to make the recipe

Step 1

Preheat oven to 220°C/Gas mark 7

Step 2

Unroll the pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut into four pieces

Step 3

Cut along the longer edges at 5cm intervals, 6cm deep to make a fringe

Step 4

Spread the middle of the pastry with a generous layer of Sacla’ Pesto, top with the peppers and goat's cheese and season

Step 5

Starting at the top, alternately fold the strips inwards at a 45° angle over the filling to form a plait

Step 6

Carefully transfer the plait onto a baking sheet and brush it with the egg

Step 7

Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and slice to serve
