The closely-guarded family recipe dates back to 1870 when Antonino Carpano first crafted it in his bar in Piedmont. Starting with a base of dry white wine, the aperitivo is infused with a beguiling blend of 15 aromatic herbs and spices. The result is a mellow, toffee-and-clove flavoured drink that's complemented by a intense zesty orange finish.
