Known for its slightly bitter, almond-like taste, Friarielli grows mainly in Italy in small quantities and is not cultivated. This means it is hard to find, but we've got you covered.

This leafy green plant, sometimes called Rapini, Broccoli Rabe or Cime di Rapa in sunflower oil, is perfect with pasta - mixed with garlic chilli extra virgin olive oil. Or saute with onions and garlic for an authentic side dish.

I was happy!

The product can be eaten as it is, even warmed up and served on a delicious bruschetta, with added chillies. I drained the oil, then, in a pan, I hated some EVOO, fried garlic and anchovies in it, added the friarelli and next I served with orecchiette pasta. Black pepper and some chilli made it really special!
