Meet our Vegan Basil Pesto, the plant-based twin of our Classic Basil Pesto. Every bit as Italian. Every bit as lip-smackingly tasty. Bet you can’t tell the difference.

When it comes to making Pesto, we like to add, not take away. So, although our Vegan Basil Pesto may be dairy-free, gluten-free and wheat-free, it is flavour-packed and just as versatile and authentic as our Classic Basil Pesto. We simply swapped some ingredients to make it suitable for everyone following plant-based, vegan, dairy-free and gluten-free diets.

Our Vegan Basil Pesto is so versatile – where shall we start? Stir it through al dente pasta for a super-quick supper or salad, create Vegan Pesto Risotto and go low-carb with Vegan Pesto Courgetti with cherry tomatoes and chilli flakes.

We use high-quality cashew nuts in our Vegan Pesto recipe. Blended with all the other ingredients, they add a satisfying creaminess to the Pesto. We also use pine kernels, which are not technically nuts but seeds from pine trees, and when they are blended, they release natural oils, helping to emulsify the Pesto, giving it a smooth texture and nutty taste.

We want everyone to enjoy Sacla’ Pesto, regardless of their dietary or lifestyle requirements. That’s why we make our free-from Pesto without any animal products. It’s dairy-free, gluten-free, wheat-free and suitable for coeliacs, vegetarians and vegans.
