Basil reigns as the king of fragrant herbs: from the sun-drenched fields of Piedmont, our aromatic plants are nurtured with care to capture their bright, zingy flavor and subtle lemon notes. Sown in April and harvested in the cool mornings of summer, each leaf carries the essence of Italian tradition. 

Today, our basil tells a story of an even deeper connection to our roots. With the new Basil Supply Chain project, we have chosen to bring cultivation back to the heart of Piemonte, celebrating local agricultural excellence and working closely with the region's farmers.

Transformed into our signature pesto, it becomes more than an ingredient - it's the heart of Saclà flavor, bringing some Italian joy to tables all around the world.

Our tomatoes are picked at the peak of ripeness, when their natural sweetness, vibrant color, and rich flavor are at their best. Grown under the Mediterranean sun, they are nurtured with the dedication we've passed down for generations. Each tomato is swiftly processed to preserve its freshness, ensuring nothing is lost from field to jar. The result? A high quality tomato—juicy, fragrant, and full of character — the soul of our red sauces.
