Description

Sacla’ Roasted Pepper Pesto – we’re patient with our peppers so you don’t need to be!

Our recipe is inspired by the famously square Quadrato d’Asti Rosso, which traditionally grew abundantly in the fields of Piemonte. Today we use ripe, plump red peppers that are slow roasted and blended to our authentic family recipe with almonds, fresh basil and cheese.

And it’s ready for you to create dishes pronto! Try our chicken and fusilli, stuffed peppers and vibrant butternut squash, roasted red pepper and lentil salad.

FAQs

What protein pairs well with Sacla' Roasted Pepper Pesto?

Our Roasted Pepper Pesto recipe pairs particularly well with chicken, prawns, salmon, tofu and halloumi. It works beautifully as a marinade for grilled meats.

How long does Pesto last once opened?

As Sacla’ Pesto is pasteurised, there is no need to store unopened jars of Pesto in the fridge. Simply use them before their ‘Best Before’ date. Opened jars should be kept in the fridge and can be eaten safely for up to 2 weeks without risk or noticeable loss of flavour.

Is it safe for me to eat Pesto if I’m pregnant?

Premium Pesto, such as Sacla’ Pesto, is safe to eat during pregnancy. While it contains Italian hard cheese, Sacla’ uses pasteurised cheese, which means it can be safely enjoyed even when pregnant.
