Sicilian Almond Pastries by Dolceria Corallo

Part biscuit, part sweet and part macaroon, these little almond pastries just scream of Sicily. The art lies in years of tradition and experience, but all you need to know is they bake the almonds and egg whites to a perfect biscuit – one that's crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle. The middle, by the way, comes in a selection of cherry, pistachio and lemon flavours. All beautifully packaged for you to gift (if you can bear to).
