Alfredo Pasta Sauce was created in Rome in the early 20th century by Alfredo di Lelio, an Italian restaurateur. It is a rich, white pasta sauce made with cheese, butter and cream.

Alfredo Pasta Sauce is traditionally eaten with long pasta like fettuccine, linguini and tagliatelle. It has so much flavour and such a creamy texture, there is no need to add other ingredients.

In this particular recipe, we have added a Pesto twist. Fresh Italian basil, Parmigiano Reggiano PDO cheese and black pepper give this a flavour burst to counterbalance the rich, creamy Alfredo sauce.

Store unopened jars in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Once opened, keep refrigerated and consume within 3 days.
