La Chiamata Montepulciano d'Abruzzo 2019

Montepulciano is the top red grape of Italy's Abruzzo, and this full-bodied bottle of La Chiamata DOC, has all its deliciously silky, ripe red fruit and juicy plum charm on show. It's an easy going, any time wine with a floral, cherry aroma made by Ludovica Crugnale a young Italian wine grower who studied in California and Australia before returning to her beloved home. There's a lovely intensity and ripeness in these Montepulciano grapes, as you'll taste in the wine. Delightful as a solo glass or with Pesto Pasta, pork casserole and chicken kebabs.
