Grape grower Natale Seghesio is known as 'il Poeta' ('the Poet') to his friends. Not only for his lyrical compositions (featured on the label), but also for the intensely flavoured produce of his Italian vines. Talented winemaker Paolo Sartirano snaps up Natale's grapes every year and after three years ageing in large barrels, the fruit it married perfectly with the subtle oak. This award winning DOCG Barolo is deeply flavoured and complex, Il Poeta Barolo is best opened a few hours earlier and decanted and served with hearty dishes.
