Classic Roman Alfredo Sauce

If there wasn’t enough authentic Italian cheese in our Alfredo sauce, well, we just added some more. Not only is our Alfredo sauce the only jarred sauce made with Grana Padano DOP and Pecorino Romano DOP but we’ve also added Gorgonzola – a trinity of Italian cheeses. Gorgonzola adds a lovely salty, spicy tang to this rich, creamy sauce which is sumptuous served with fettuccine, linguini and tagliatelle too.

Parsley, Emulsifying salt: sodium citrates, Sodium polyphosphate; Maize maltodextrins, Natural flavourings (MILK), Onion powder, EGG yolk
powder.

Alfredo Pasta Sauce was created in Rome in the early 20th century by Alfredo di Lelio, an Italian restaurateur. It is a rich, white pasta sauce made with cheese, butter and cream.

Alfredo Pasta Sauce is traditionally eaten with long pasta like fettuccine, linguini and tagliatelle. It has so much flavour and such a creamy texture, there is no need to add other ingredients.

In this particular recipe, we have added a Pesto twist. Fresh Italian basil, Parmigiano Reggiano PDO cheese and black pepper give this a flavour burst to counterbalance the rich, creamy Alfredo sauce.

Store unopened jars in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Once opened, keep refrigerated and consume within 3 days.
