Gavi is a classic white of Italy, a star of the Piedmont region and Le Viti Di Beatrice Gavi is a young, fresh take on it from Beatrice Vezza. Crisp, apple and citrus freshness with supreme Italian elegance. This wine is pure Cortese, the only grape allowed in Gavi, taken from various plots, all within about 50km of the Ligurian coastline. It's a surprisingly late ripener for a white grape, retaining its lovely citrus freshness until harvest often in late September. Ageing on lees adds roundness and depth of flavour to this elegant, crisp, delicate white.
