‘Cacciatore’ means ‘hunter’ in Italian.

The phrase ‘alla Cacciatora’ literally means ‘in the hunter’s style’.
It refers to a rustic, hearty dish traditionally made by Italian hunters using whatever was available in the countryside - typically meat, herbs, wine, tomatoes, and onions.

Osso Buco is a traditional Milanese dish made with braised veal shanks, wine, tomatoes, herbs and lemon.  It’s slow-cooked to develop a deep, indulgent flavour, which pairs beautifully with Risotto Milanese.

Barbera is a variety of red wine grape that originates from the Piedmont region in northwestern Italy. It’s one of Italy’s most widely planted and beloved grapes.

Because of its balance and bright acidity, Barbera wine pairs beautifully with rich Italian dishes - especially meats, tomato-based sauces, and braised recipes like Beef braised in Barbera red wine.
