Saclà Alfredo Pesto Pasta Sauce

All the fresh Italian Pesto flavour with the rich, creaminess of Alfredo Sauce – a perfect combination! Originating from Rome, Alfredo sauce is traditionally made with cheese, butter and cream and ours sticks with tradition – with a little extra. We’ve added fresh basil, Parmigiano and black pepper – all you need to add is pasta!

INGREDIENTS: Water, Powder mix (MILK) (MILK powder, modified maize starch, maize maltodextrins, salt, natural flavouring, stabilizer: xanthan gum), Whipping cream (7.6%) (MILK), Butter (MILK), Basil in oil (5.5%) (basil 90%, sunflower seed oil), Sunflower seed oil, Parmigiano Reggiano PDO cheese (1.1%) (MILK), Natural flavourings (MILK), Modified maize starch, Emulsifying salts: sodium citrates, sodium polyphosphate; CASHEW NUTS, Maize maltodextrins, EGG yolk powder, Dried garlic.

Alfredo Pasta Sauce was created in Rome in the early 20th century by Alfredo di Lelio, an Italian restaurateur. It is a rich, white pasta sauce made with cheese, butter and cream.

Alfredo Pasta Sauce is traditionally eaten with long pasta like fettuccine, linguini and tagliatelle. It has so much flavour and such a creamy texture, there is no need to add other ingredients.

In this particular recipe, we have added a Pesto twist. Fresh Italian basil, Parmigiano Reggiano PDO cheese and black pepper give this a flavour burst to counterbalance the rich, creamy Alfredo sauce.
