In the heart of Puglia is Bitonto, the city of extra virgin olive oil, and it’s here that Friselline are made, using only the finest natural ingredients and ancient recipes handed down through the centuries. Daniele Lovascio, one of our newer artisanal partners, started producing these deliciously moreish savoury bakes only twenty years ago.
These delicate Friselline are toasted breads individually hand-made to an authentic recipe using the finest grade flour and extra virgin olive oil. They’re very crunchy and perfect as the base to build your aperitivi, crostini and bruschetta, topped with parma ham, cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, artichokes – whatever takes your fancy.
