The elusive Black Summer Truffle thrives in open woodlands and is a jewel in Italy’s gastronomic crown. Hunted throughout the Summer and found only by its pungent aroma, it has a remarkable flavour unlike anything else, which is why it’s capable of transforming a simple recipe into something memorable.
We make our Truffle Pesto with prized Black Summer Truffles, cashew nuts, Grana Padano cheese and pine nuts. It’s perfect for special occasions and treats, and for transforming fresh pasta, like traditional agnolotti or ravioli in to a very special dish.
Be in the know…Truffles will impart their flavour and aroma to a whole host of ingredients, so if you are lucky enough to get your hands on a whole one, store it in a bowl of eggs – and then make the best poached eggs you’ve ever tasted!
How to use
With pasta, we think 100g of pasta per half jar of Truffle Pesto works best or visit our recipe collection for more inspiration.
