We work with our organic farmers to ensure we have the most environmentally friendly farming methods possible. So much so, every year we steam clean the soil to avoid the use of pesticides, meaning that most of our basil is farmed organically.
Just like our Classic recipe, the fresh, fragrant Italian basil is the hero of this recipe, grown on organic farms in Liguria. We blend the leaves together with pine nuts, cheese, cashew nuts and extra virgin olive oil, all sourced organically to create this virtuous Pesto.
Pesto is best enjoyed with testaroli, trofie or linguine pasta and is usually served with green beans and potatoes to create ‘Pesto Alla Genovese’.
