Classic Pesto Spiedini


  • 4 tbsp Sacla’ Classic Basil Pesto
  • 1 Garlic clove, finely chopped
  • Extra virgin olive oil for drizzling
  • 1/2 loaf Ciabatta, roughly torn into 8 pieces
  • 250g Mozzarella, cubed into 12 pieces
  • 12 Cherry tomatoes
  • Skewers


  1. Preheat the grill to high
  2. Mix the Sacla’ Pesto and garlic together with a drizzle of olive oil until you have a nice, loose consistency
  3. Toss the bread, mozzarella and tomatoes in the pesto dressing and tightly pack them, alternately, onto wooden or metal skewers
  4. If using wooden skewers, soak them for 30 minutes in cold water before using
  5. Turning once, grill for about 5 minutes or until bread starts to toast and cheese starts to melt
  6. Serve with fresh rocket
