Pesto Hummus


  • 1 Garlic clove
  • Chickpeas:400g
  • 5-6 tbsp Extra virgin olive oil, plus extra to drizzle
  • 3 tbsp Sacla’ Classic Basil Pesto
  • 1 Lemon, grated zest and juice
  • Salt
  • Black pepper


  1. In a food processor, blitz the garlic into a paste
  2. Drain chickpeas, reserving the water, and add to garlic along with all other ingredients
  3. Blitz to a rough texture
  4. If its too thick, loosen with some chickpea water
  5. Taste and adjust the seasoning with oil, lemon, Sacla’ Pesto or salt, as needed
