We Italians love tomatoes so much that we affectionately call them ‘red gold’. The juicy ones that we pound into this rich sauce are blended with fragrant Italian basil, tofu and cashew nuts.
To create this reduced fat Pesto, we’ve cut back a bit on the oil, replaced the cheese with tofu, and taken special care to ensure it’s our healthiest Pesto yet by having no added salt or sugar. So the overall flavour is a little less intense and robust than our Classic recipe, and perfect for people looking for a healthier option.
How to use
With pasta, we think 100g of pasta per quarter jar of Pesto works best or visit our recipe collection for more inspiration.
