The Brezzo family are passionate about their honey, and this Chestnut honey is no exception. In the Alpine foothills of Piedmont, the bees spend the late spring months feasting on the rich nectar of the Chestnut groves. The result is a dark amber, viscous honey with a slightly bitter taste that is high in minerals. It’s great for cooking with, but to really experience its taste, simply spread on bread or toast, or serve with a mature cheese - it would be Castelmagno in Piedmont.

Dark honey with wonderful rich flavour

This honey reminded us of our last holiday in Italy.... we haven’t been able to find honey like this in the UK until we discovered it online

Chestnut Honey

Made by very selective bees. This is a very different and distinctive flavourful honey with a rich, aromatic taste and a hint of apothecary - I can imagine this coming from a friary or convent garden. It doesn't have the intense sweetness of other honeys which suits me perfectly.

Great drizzled over ice-cream, pancakes and waffles.
