Classic Basil PestoPenne Giganti
Ingredients

450g Sacla' Penne Giganti Pasta
8 thin slices pancetta/bacon (optional)
190g jar Sacla’ Organic or Classic Basil Pesto
50g small Parmesan shavings
extra virgin olive oil, for drizzling
salt & freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

You can have this simple supper on the table in under 15 minutes, ready to enjoy the full deliciousness of dreamy Basil Pesto.

Put a large pan of salted water on to boil for the pasta and cook the pasta according to the pack instructions.

Meanwhile, cook the pancetta (or bacon) under a hot grill until really crispy. Remove and drain on kitchen paper, then crumble into large pieces.

Once cooked, drain the pasta in a colander. Return to the saucepan, spoon over the pesto, lightly toss and season. Shower with Parmesan, scatter over the pancetta and serve straightaway.

Tip: If the kids prefer a creamier pesto coating, simply add a dessertspoon of creme fraiche per person at the same time as the pesto.
