Sausage and Bean Cassoulet with Roasted Vegetable sauce

Ingredients

500g of good quality pork sausages cut into 2.5cm pieces
150ml of red wine
350g jar of Sacla' Whole Cherry Tomato and Basil Pasta Sauce
1 fresh red chilli, seeded and coarsely chopped
800g of tinned cannellini beans
12 fresh basil leaves snipped

Instructions

Fry your sausages in a non-stick frying pan until they've browned.

Pour in the red wine and allow the mixture to reduce for 2 minutes.

Add the Sacla' Whole Cherry Tomato and Roasted Vegetables sauce, chilli, beans and 4 tablespoons of boiling water.

Mix well and slowly bring to the boil.

Cover the frying pan with a lid and leave to simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

It goes especially well with creamy mashed potato and a good scattering of basil leaves.
