This is the closest to a homemade tomato sauce we can get – the freshest ingredients prepared in season with a handful of whole cherry tomatoes thrown in: yes, WHOLE!
We start with a traditional soffritto base (sautéed onions, celery and carrots) and then add cherry tomatoes, fragrant basil, and a little tofu for a creamy taste and texture, without the dairy.
Simply stir the sauce into a pan of cooked pasta, let it sizzle for a bit and serve. It’s the quickest way to bring real Italian gusto to your family dinner table.
