Puttanesca is an intense tomato sauce, famous for its seductive saltiness. This Recipe Base will bring the true colours and flavour of Naples to your cooking, but you won’t have to spend hours in the kitchen making it.
Fresh, sweet tomatoes are the backbone of this recipe. We also add a profusion of punchy, full-flavoured ingredients, including Leccino olives, capers, garlic and anchovies. Stir it through fish fillets and pan cook for just 15 minutes. It’s perfect with chicken too.
Be in the know… Spaghetti alla puttanesca is a dish invented in the mid-20th Century and is very popular in Southern Italian cooking.
How to use
Add 300g of fish fillets to a pan, along with this jar of sauce & just under half a jar of water. Stir and cook through for between 10 and 15 minutes until the fish is cooked to your liking.
